Somewhere in the hills of California sits a plat of land untouched by the Hollywood gold rush. Long before influencers and reality stars, before the glitz and glam took over the streets, there was Holmby Hills. The evolution of Sunset Blvd would soon change the landscape of this oasis forever. But for a moment, let’s imagine a California neighborhood where Walt Disney and his family are you neighbors and you come over for a visit. Upon entering you would realize this is no normal man. Yensid Valley was the magical oasis created by Walt to let all his boyhood dreams run wild. Nostalgia and imagination have no limits in this place. The return to these places in our minds is vital to keeping a grip on the childlike joy of life. Our adult nature can tend to squelch out the fun of everyday moments. My visits to Disneyland and Disney World have helped me find this place once again. I know it’s not everyones cup of tea, but for me, it has brought me a lot of joy. I hope these designs do the same for you. I own very few clothing items from the parks because they never looked like me. I set out to create fun and understated items that felt like items I could wear to the park as well out to run some errands.
